UCPath recently implemented the changes listed below.

Absence Management
Summary
Date
Updated the system to allow supporting element UCVR OVRD CLSS IND to be assigned to non 99 employees. This will allow non policy covered employees to accrue vacation at the grandfathered rates.

Cognos Reports
Summary
Date
Created a new report (R-081 System wide HR Health & Welfare Benefits Report) as part of the Mainframe Retirement Project (MRP).  This report will replace an existing report that is run from the Corporate Personnel System (CPS)

Payroll & Compensation
Summary
Date
Updated the 401(a)(17) Annual Compensation Limits, including the DCP Summer Salary and DCP Summer Salary Grandfather Limits as well as the California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act (PEPRA) Compensation Limit  (applicable to employees who first became Active Members of UCRP on or after July 1, 2016) for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2021.

Updated the holiday schedule for each location to include the Juneteenth holiday.

Updated PTP & NRA earn code attributes:
~ Updated the PTP EARN code "REG Like Code" attribute to "Not Specified."
~ Updated the P7H, P8H & P9H EARN codes "UCRS Coverage" attribute to "Not Specified/Not Subject" and "REG Like Code" attribute to "Not Specified"

Updated the "Eligible for CBR" attribute for the following EARN codes to" S-Summer Salary": ADC, A7D, A8D, A9D, 9DC, 97E, 9C0, 9C1

Updated the UCPath Rate Table with the FY2021-2022 CalPERS Employer Contribution rate

·         The 2021 UCPath Production Processing Schedule has been updated to include the Juneteenth holiday. Navigate to UCPath > Quicklinks > Payroll Resources, and select Payroll Processing Schedules & Working Hours<https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/pages/payroll-processing-schedules-working-hours> to access the schedule.

Did You Know? The system will automatically terminate an employee's job when the "End Job Automatically" checkbox is selected.

·         The system will automatically enter a termination row the night of the expected job end date

·         Benefits will automatically terminate at the end of the month of the job end date
Examples:

o   A termination row with an effective date of 6/1 will have benefits terminate on 5/31

o   A termination row with an effective date of 6/2 will have benefits terminate on 6/30

·         If an employee's job is terminated and subsequently updated and extended, benefits will not be automatically reinstated.  A case must be submitted to UCPath to reinstate benefits.
