In Response to the 2025 – 2026 Changes in Parking Benefits



Dear UCRRA and UCREA Members,

We recently learned about changes to our parking benefits for
2025/26. These changes included removing the red parking spaces that we had
earlier been allowed to use, specifically red spaces in lots 1, 6, and 13.

We have made inquiries to Parking Services about this change and have
requested detailed information leading to their decision. We have also
brought this issue to the attention of the Chancellor, stressing that we
usually come to campus to volunteer our time, do research, and mentor
former colleagues.

We are working toward reinstating the allowable red spaces for our
memberships and hope to be able to announce this in the next few weeks.
