Deadline to Sign Up for April 8 Graduate Research Symposium is March 7

Dear UCR Emerita or Emeritus,

In November 2024, a delegation from the UCR Emeriti Association met with Graduate Dean Lidia Kos to discuss ways in which UCR emeriti might become more involved in graduate education at UCR.

Dean Kos responded by inviting UCR emeriti to become serve as judges in Grad Division's annual day-long research symposium. We are writing to inform you about this opportunity, and to invite you to become involved.

The Graduate Symposium will take place this year on Tuesday, April 8 in the Highlander Union Building Room 302. Judging is in one-hour blocks, and interested emeriti can indicate as many sessions as they are available to judge, from one hour to all day. They will be provided with judging forms that include a rubric for ease of scoring. Constructive feedback is encouraged as this is a professional development event.

Grad Division asks emeriti who are interested in serving as judges for this event to indicate their availability no later than March 7. Interested emeriti should fill out the call for judges at the following link: https://forms.gle/UefkD5LZLW6T2ykp9
