UnitedHealthcare (UHC) has announced that their contract with Sharp Rees-Stealy (SRS) Medical Group will end on Friday, April 1, 2022. UHC has sent a notification letter and a Notice of Provider Disruption on February 17, 2022 to the 413 affected UC participants. The notification letter and the Notice of Provider Disruption sample communications can be viewed below.

Information on Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group providers effective April 1, 2022

*       Services from Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group providers will be covered as out-of-network, as long as SRS providers are Medicare-approved, agree to treat UC members and are willing to bill UHC.

*       Members' cost share will be the same for out-of-network and in-network.

*       While members retain this benefit, UHC encourages members to speak with their SRS providers to understand how this may affect their access.
