UCOP has notified campuses that in early March, an issue was introduced affecting the transmission of newly hired employee data from the UCPath daily feed to Redwood, the UCOP management system for UCRAYS. This feed is responsible for creating employee records in Redwood, which are required for users to register for UCRAYS accounts.

As a result, some newly hired employees may experience delays in creating UCRAYS accounts and accessing retirement information.

While employee records are also created in Redwood through the monthly contribution (i-146) file, this process may delay UCRAYS access by several weeks.

UCOP understands the impact this may have and apologizes for the inconvenience and actively working with technical partners to implement a solution and restore timely processing.  At this time, no action is required from impacted employees. A resolution is expected within the next few weeks, and additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
