Blue Shield of California, the administrator of the HealthSavings+ and UC Care plans, notified UCOP that the eligibility file to HealthEquity stopped passing active employees beginning with the July 14, 2026 file.  This error prevents HealthEquity from establishing Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for fewer than 200 new members.

Blue Shield and HealthEquity are currently partnering to transfer the missing eligibility records as quickly as possible and to implement a permanent fix to prevent reocurrence.

Once eligibility is fully established within the HealthEquity system, employer and employee funds will be deposited into member accounts accordingly.
