In July, UCPath discovered an issue involving missing Fidelity voluntary retirement savings deductions on employees' final paychecks that were issued from February 1, 2025, to July 2, 2025.

In accordance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidelines, UC will correct this by making a Qualified Nonelective Contribution (QNEC), plus any applicable earnings, through the date of deposit for the plan(s) listed below:


  *   403(b) Plan - Pretax and/or Roth contributions
  *   457(b) Plan - Pretax and/or Roth contributions
  *   Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) - After-Tax voluntary contributions

UCPath has communicated directly with the affected employees regarding next steps. Employees will see the contribution reflected on their Fidelity Investments account statement within the next 30 days.
