The UCPath Center will send notices today to Flexible Spending Account (FSA) participants with unsubstantiated claims for the plan years 2021 and 2022.  Please see links to sample notices below.  Some important points in this notification include:

(a)        The necessity of properly substantiating expenses reimbursed through the Flexible Spending Account (FSA), in accordance with IRS regulations;

(b)        Potential consequences of failing to address unsubstantiated claims;

(c)        Detailed instructions on how participants may resolve this issue;

(d)        A reminder that unsubstantiated claims will be treated as taxable income, and applicable income taxes will be    withheld from their pay.
