Re:         650-28: Employment Eligibility (Form I-9)

The Central Human Resources policy team conducted a review of UC Riverside campus policy 650-28: Employment Eligibility (Form I-9). While the campus has been operating within the policy, the revised policy is now aligned with our operating procedure. The policy was officially revised on Thursday, May 23, 2024 and posted on the website on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Revisions to the policy include:


*         Language was added to align with the Gender Recognition and Lived Name policy and federal law limitations when legal name only is accepted.

*         Provides further examples of when a contingent worker's I-9 must be completed.

*         Updates to contact names, titles, and links.
