HealthEquity recently informed UCOP of an upcoming change to the Health Savings Account (HSA) paper statement fee.  Currently, the fee is $1.00 per month for those who receive paper statements. With the increase in cost, both in terms of postage rates and supplies, HealthEquity will increase the monthly paper statement fee to $1.50 effective May 20, 2023.



Members affected will be notified of this change in the upcoming April 15 and May 15 paper statements.  The updated charge will appear on member accounts beginning May 20, 2023.



The easiest way to opt into electronic statements is through the mobile app.  Instructions from HealthEquity are provided below.



>From the HealthEquity mobile app:



1.        Sign into your HealthEquity app

2.        Click More (...) in the bottom right-corner of the app

3.        Click Tax Forms and Statements

4.        Click Manage Delivery Settings

5.        Select "I agree..." option for HSA Statements
