Mandatory Notice of Expiration of COBRA Subsidy

As previously communicated<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm656/files/2021-09/cobra-provisions-american-rescue-plan-act2021-5.06.21.pdf>, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) provides a COBRA premium subsidy from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021 to certain individuals and their family members who elect COBRA continuation coverage. Employers and plan administrators are required to provide subsidy termination notices to these individuals before their COBRA subsidy ends.

For your information and to be shared as needed, notices were sent to UC's COBRA subsidy-eligible members in the first week of September announcing the end of the program effective September 30, 2021.
