[Ucr-sdrc] Deadline Extended - Nominations for Disability Allies of the Year Awards

Dear SDRC Student,

*Nominations are now being accepted **for Disability Allies of the Year.*

Each year the UCR Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) is proud to
honor a staff member, faculty member, teaching assistant, and department
who have served as outstanding allies to students with disabilities during
this academic year.  They have demonstrated exemplary commitment to
advocating for students with disabilities.  This includes, but is not
limited to:

   - educating themselves and other about ableism, disability
   discrimination, or disability oppression; and to combating it on a personal
   level;
   - ensuring students with disabilities have equitable access to
   academic/non-academic courses, research, programs, services, activities,
   facilities, etc.; and
   - treating everyone with the dignity and respect they are entitled to as
   human beings.

*These awards are based on student nominations.* Your are welcome to submit
nominations, by completing the nomination form

code below. You may submit multiple nominations for the different
categories. *Submission deadline is Noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. *Awards
will be publicly announced and presented to the outstanding disability
allies during a recognition ceremony held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
