[Ucr-sdrc] Introducing CNAS GUAC!

Dear SDRC Students,

If you are a CNAS Major, this information is for YOU!

The CNAS Undergraduate Academic Advising Center<https://cnasstudent.ucr.edu/> (UAAC) is introducing some changes this fall focused on (1) increasing student/advisor contact opportunities, (2) enhancing advisor accessibility for students with quick questions/issues, (3) reducing email volume.

Students now have three main options noted below to access their CNAS Advisors in addition to various tabling and outreach events we will be holding throughout the quarter.


  1.  GUAC (General Undergraduate Advising Check ins) for quick questions and issues, staffed 9-4 daily
  2.  Advising Appointments via our TracCloud appointment system<http://myadvising.ucr.edu/> (individual varying from 10-25 minutes)
  3.  Directly emailing a student's assigned staff advisor<https://cnasstudent.ucr.edu/majors-cnas>

Please do refer any students who may have CNAS advising questions directly to GUAC as that will also serve as our triage center for the unit as well.
