[Ucr-sdrc] Beware of Phishing and Scam Emails

Dear SDRC Student,

It has come to our attention students are receiving phishing emails related to disability-related part time work.  The email mentions "Disability Resources and Education Services (DRES)"  and may or may not imply the job offer is with the SDRC. The individuals sending the emails are in NO WAY affiliated or connected with UCR or SDRC.

Students should always carefully evaluate and verify email (and social media) solicitations. Attached is a tip sheet from UCR ITS on how to spot phishing emails. For more information about phishing and to learn more about practicing better cyber security, visit the UCR Information Technology Solutions security web page<https://live-ucr-infotechsolutions.pantheonsite.io/security>. If you receive an email on your UCR email account that appears to be suspicious, you may forward it to abuse at ucr.edu<mailto:abuse at ucr.edu>.
