[Campus Notice] GSMS Update: Latest Production Release Notes (From Week of August 31 and September 7)

Dear Colleague,

We are writing to share with you the new fixes and enhancements applied to
the Graduate Student Management System (GSMS). Below is a summary of the
fixes included in the production release notes from the weeks of August 31

Employment Module

   -

   Applied a compact, condensed UI across the system to fix visually
   oversized screens.
   -

   Email notifications now display the correct academic term.
   -

   Acknowledgment control is now available for students to acknowledge
   revised offers.
   -

   View Offer term filter now only shows terms that have offers vs. a long
   list of terms.
   -

   Added a tally count on the student view showing the number of items in
   their queue.
   -

   Emails notifications now display user-friendly URLs.
   -

   Corrected the Description of Duties (DOD) link in emails so it opens the
   correct record.
   -

   Linking a placeholder to a position is now restricted to matching
   categories, preserving supervisor data.
   -

   Position assignments are now saved in smaller batches to ensure they
   successfully save.
   -

   Position reporting is now available in the Position dashboard.
   -

   Fixed the link in the extension approval email so approvers can act on
   extension requests directly from their email notification.
   -

   The "No Access" error message was updated and users now see an explicit
   error message instead of a blank page.
   -

   To resolve the issue of eligible student selections resetting across
   screens, the selections on eligible student screens are now saved across
   views.
   -

   To resolve the issue of missing student names on the Submitted
   Application page, data loading issues were corrected for student
   information to populate properly.
   -

   The system logic in Offer Management was adjusted to retrieve and
   display accurate timestamps when sending offers.
   -

   Missing job codes (003155 (GSR Trainee) and 003160 (GSR Fellow/Trainee)
   were added.
   -

   Clicking an email link now redirects users to the login screen to
   authenticate, preventing blank screens.
   -

   To address the issue of mismatched "Offer Declined" status workflow,
   status progressions were realigned to accurately follow system workflows
   and processes.
