UCR's Loan2Learn program is ending in June 2026. Please return your loaner
device to ITS on or before June 15.
Dear Highlander,
I regret to inform you that UC Riverside’s Loan2Learn program will not
continue beyond the Spring 2026 quarter. As such, please return your loaner
device to Information Technology Solutions (ITS) on or before June 15, 2026.
You may drop off your device at the Computing & Communication Center
<https://campusmap.ucr.edu/?id=2106#!m/905411?share> behind Parking Lot 9.
Drop offs are accepted Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may also
return your loaner device to Student Technology Services at the Watkins
2111 and 2117 Computer Labs. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am
to 10:00 pm.
Since 2020, the Loan2Learn program has been instrumental in providing UCR
students equitable access to technology. However, the original funding for
Loan2Learn has ended and the hardware allocated for the program has aged
and will be out of warranty by June 2026. As a result, the Loan2Learn
program will end in June 2026, and all devices will be retired.
Student Technology Alternatives
UCR is committed to ensuring that all students have access to the
technology they need to succeed. The good news is, the university and the
surrounding Riverside community offer other ways to bridge the digital
divide. These options include free on-campus resources, purchasing and
financial assistance, and community programs for low-income residents and
students. For more details on these resources and programs, please read the ITS
Blog

and the Student Technology Resources knowledge article

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you through the Loan2Learn
program, and we wish you the best in your academic endeavors.
Sincerely,
Lily Barger
