New Digital Accessibility Requirements for Qualtrics Surveys

   Effective March 24, 2026, the “Check Survey Accessibility” tool within
   Qualtrics will be activated for all UCR users.
   -

   Moving forward, passing this accessibility check will be required before
   a survey can be published or distributed.
   -

   Be reminded that any survey, regardless of original publication date or
   survey platform used, must meet new federal and systemwide digital
   accessibility standards

ITS is implementing a new step in the Qualtrics survey creation process.
What is changing?

Effective March 24, 2026, the “Check Survey Accessibility” tool within
Qualtrics will be activated for all UCR users. Moving forward, passing this
accessibility check will be required before a survey can be published or
distributed.
Why is this Qualtrics change happening?

This update aligns with UCR’s adherence to updated federal and systemwide
digital accessibility standards, which must be met by April 24, 2026

that any survey, regardless of original publication date or survey platform

assistive technologies, we create a more inclusive campus that allows every
