UCR Information Technology Solutions tech-bulletin at lists.ucr.edu
Thu Mar 5 14:45:13 PST 2026

Colleagues,

Please be reminded that, on March 11, 2026, UC Riverside will decommission
its old virtual private network (VPN), Palo Alto (GlobalProtect), as part
of Information Technology Solutions’ (ITS) efforts to further improve UCR’s
network infrastructure.

To ensure continued access to the campus VPN, users of GlobalProtect VPN
should transition to using the new campus VPN, Cisco Secure
(AnyConnect). Please
find guidance in the original notice, sent February 12, 2026 (below).

If you experience any issues with VPN or network connectivity, please submit
a ticket
