You will receive a new UCR Adobe account on January 16. To access your
existing Adobe files on your new UCR account, please migrate them manually.

Dear Highlander,

On January 16, 2026, Information Technology Solutions (ITS) will transition
all Adobe Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA) accounts from Adobe ID
to organizational netID.

To ensure that you retain access to your existing Adobe files in your new
UCR netID account, you will need to manually migrate them from your current
Adobe ID account to your new UCR netID account. Please note that you can
only migrate your files after your UCR netID account is created on January
16.
What This Means for You

Instead of using separate login credentials for your Adobe Creative Cloud
account, you will now use your UCR netID email address (e.g.,
scottyb at ucr.edu) and password to access your account. This also means that
you will be asked to verify your login via Duo, UCR’s multi-factor
authenticator.

The change will take place on January 16. Once implemented, you will no
longer use your old Adobe login credentials.
Why the Change?

   -

Simplified Login: No need to manage separate credentials for your Adobe
   products.
   -

Seamless Access: Enjoy uninterrupted access to Adobe services with your
   UCR netID account.
   -

Enhanced Security: Get an extra layer of security for your Adobe
Creative Cloud account with Duo multi-factor authentication.

What You Need to Do: Move Your Files After January 16, 2026

Because your netID account is technically a "new" account, existing files
(Cloud Documents, Libraries, and Lightroom photos) stored under your old
Adobe ID will not be automatically transferred to your new account.

To ensure that you retain access to your existing Adobe files in your new
UCR netID account, you will need to manually migrate them from your current
Adobe ID account to your new UCR netID account. Please note that you can
only migrate your files after your UCR netID account is created on January
16.

Take the steps below to initiate the automated Asset Migration process.

Pre-Migration Tasks

   1.

Sign in to your Adobe ID account.
   2.

Save your work and sync your content to Adobe Creative Cloud to ensure
that you do not lose any work (learn how to convert files to cloud
   documents
   <https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/work-with-cloud-documents/manage-cloud-storage/convert-files-to-cloud-documents.html>).
You may also download / export assets
   <https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/create-and-manage-libraries/manage-libraries/export-libraries.html>
to your local drive or a shared network folder.
   3.

Sign out of your Adobe ID account from the device you want to initiate
Asset Migration. The migration process automatically signs you out of all
   your other devices, if any.

The Asset Migration process migrates all supported content from your Adobe
ID account. If you have any personal content in your account, remove that
content from your current Adobe ID account before you initiate the
migration process.

Migration Tasks

After you complete the pre-migration tasks, follow the steps outlined in
the “Migrate Content” section of the Adobe Automated Asset Migration help
article
<https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/migrate-assets-to-enterprise-account.html>
.
What Happens to The Old Adobe ID Account?

You have the option to keep your files in your old Adobe ID account.
However, in the coming weeks, you will be prompted to update the email
address linked to your old Adobe ID account into a personal email address
if you wish to continue using that account. You will receive a warning
during the transition, and eventually you will not be allowed to log in if
you do not change the email address linked to your old Adobe ID account
into a personal email address.

Note that you will still be able to access your Adobe ID account and its
existing files even if you change the email address to your personal email.
How to Log In After the Switch

Once the transition from Adobe ID to organizational netID is complete,
follow the instructions below to access your Adobe apps:

   1.

Open any Adobe application (Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.) or go to adobe.com
and click the “Sign in” button.
   2.

Enter your netID at ucr.edu email address (e.g., scottyb at ucr.edu) in the
Email address field then click “Continue.” You will be taken to the UCR CAS
   login page.
   3.

Enter your UCR netID (e.g., scottyb) and password.
   4.

   Verify your login via Duo.
