You've Been Assigned a Microsoft 365 A3 License
Take the required action to access and activate your free Microsoft 365 A3
license.

Dear Highlander,

Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is pleased to inform you that you
have been assigned a Microsoft 365 A3 license. You received this license,
at no cost to you, through your affiliation as a graduate student of UC
Riverside. This license provides access to the desktop and online versions
of popular Microsoft productivity tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
OneNote, and Outlook (see the full list of inclusions

Next Steps to Activate Your Free Microsoft 365 A3 License

Here's what you need to do to access and activate your license:

Download and Install the Microsoft Office Suite

   1.

   Go to the Microsoft 365 portal: https://www.office.com/
   2.

   Sign in using your UCR email address (firstname.lastname at email.ucr.edu)
   and your UCR password.
   3.

   Once logged in, you should see an option to "Install Office" or "Install
   Apps." Click on this button.
   4.

   Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the Microsoft
   Office suite on your computer.


Activate Your License

   1.

   After installation, open any of the Microsoft Office applications (e.g.,
   Word, Excel).
   2.

   You will be prompted to sign in. Use your UCR email address (
   firstname.lastname at email.ucr.edu) and UCR password to activate your
   license.
   3.

   If you encounter any activation issues, please contact ITS for technical
   assistance (see contact information below).


Important Notes:

   -

   This license is provided to UCR graduate students for free and is meant
   for academic use during your time as a graduate student at UCR.
   -

   Please ensure you log out of your Microsoft account on public or shared
   computers.
   -

   Keep your UCR account and password secure at all times (learn
   cybersecurity tips <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9xH6ro4Ixc>).
