Dear CFAO,

Thank you for validating your organization’s phone line data as requested.
Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is excited to notify you that your
ORG’s migration to Zoom Phone Services is set for April 25, 2024.

Please note that for the upcoming migration to Zoom Phone, your ORG’s phone
and number assignments are based on the information you provided in the Zoom
Phone Group 5 shared folder
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bO7ARSP2t4I1LWnmpf72824iljO0AXcg?usp=sharing>
.

Upon activation, your organization will start using Zoom Phone Services
<https://its.ucr.edu/zoom-phone-services>, the unified, modern telephony
platform that will replace UCR’s existing telephony hardware. This new,
reliable, and flexible phone service will keep UCR connected and allow
everyone to communicate more effectively and efficiently.
What You Need to Know

   -

Activation of your ORG’s Zoom Phone service is scheduled to take place
on April 25, 2024 between 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM (PDT). The Zoom Phone
Project Team will provide live support during Office Hours on the day of
the migration (more details to follow).
   -

Once activation is complete, all calling activities (inbound and
outbound) will be routed through a new phone icon in the Zoom Meeting
   desktop and mobile application.
   -

Campus users’ current desk phones will be inoperable upon activation of
   Zoom Phone Services.
   -

Please note that desk phones will not be replaced. If a physical phone
is required, a Telecom work order

must be submitted as early as now. Please read the Zoom Phone FAQs
   <https://its.ucr.edu/zoom-phone-services#will-i-have-the-option-of-reta>
   for more details.
   -

Your voicemail greeting, voicemail messages, and speed dials will not
transfer from your current phone to your new Zoom Phone account. ITS
will provide additional guidance to campus users ahead of the migration on
how to set up their new Zoom Phone voicemail.
   -

ITS will also send a separate email communication to all affected campus
users to inform them about their migration to Zoom Phone and what they need
to know and do prior to cutover. This will include an invitation to attend
the instructor-led Zoom Phone training session on April 22, 2024, from
   9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
