Share the Upcoming Slack Changes With Your Workspace Members
ITS recently announced the rollout of the new Slack UI
<https://its.ucr.edu/blog/2023/11/29/slack-rolling-out-new-interface-streamlined-view>,
and we encourage you to share the news with your workspace members now.
When is the new user interface rolling out and who are the affected users?
UCR Slack users will see the change starting on December 19, 2023. The
transition to the redesigned experience, which began in October, applies to all
Slack accounts, including all members of the UCR Slack Enterprise Grid.
What’s changing in Slack?
According to Slack, the redesigned layout is built to help users stay
organized, focused, and productive, and features the following:
-
A unified view of all your messages and apps (although new features
still allow you to narrow your view to a single Workspace, if desired)
-
A streamlined view of your go-to Slack features
-
A single menu for your most useful Slack tools
-
Improved Search experience
