[Campus Notice] Action Required: Decommissioning of R'Cloud Service

Dear Faculty and Researchers,

We are writing to remind you that any data currently stored in R'Cloud (
https://rcloud.ucr.edu) must be migrated to an alternate storage solution
by May 26, 2023.

We encourage all users to download their data and move it to an alternate
storage solution as soon as possible to avoid losing any important data.
Once you have downloaded the data you wish to keep, please delete the files
from R’Cloud to indicate that you have successfully moved your files.

How to Download Your Data
To download your data from R'Cloud, please follow the instructions provided
in this Knowledge Base (KB) article

This article contains step-by-step guidance on how to download your data
and delete it from R'Cloud after moving it to a new storage solution.

As a researcher, you have various storage options for research data at your
disposal. If you would like a storage consultation to identify the best
option or need assistance moving your data, please contact UCR Research
Computing at research-computing at ucr.edu. We are happy to assist you.

Please note that if you do not move your data by May 26, 2023, it will
become inaccessible, as the R'Cloud service will no longer be operational.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your
support as we continue to streamline solutions and invest in modern
platforms to provide you with the best and most up-to-date services.
