Experian - Identity Theft Protection Program Update

DBRs, please share this very important information via your internal listserv.

The communication plan and materials have been finalized to share the Experian Identity Theft Protection Program being made available to all UC faculty and staff. Below outlines the plan of action.

  * An Identity Theft Protection<https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/other-benefits/identity-protection.html> page has been added to UCnet. The page contains plan documents, a short video explaining the My Financial Expert tool, and registration links for the upcoming faculty, staff, and retiree information webinars.

  * On Monday, March 11, 2024, UCPath and UC Retirement Services sent a Targeted Mass Email<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-03/fs-sample-uc-sponsored-identity-theft-protection-announcement.pdf> (TME) to all benefit-eligible faculty and staff announcing the new plan.

  * A reminder TME<https://hr.ucr.edu/sites/default/files/2024-03/fs-sample-employee-program-launch-reminder-email.pdf> will be sent to the groups noted above the week of March 25, 2024.

  * On Monday, April 1, 2024, all benefit-eligible faculty and staff will receive Experian's welcome email. The email will come from noreply at experianalert.myfinancialexpert.com<mailto:noreply at experianalert.myfinancialexpert.com> and includes a personalized link to access the Experian portal and instructions for completing the account set-up. Until the account is set up, Experian will send up to five (5) weekly reminder emails in April. You may refer to the screenshot below for an example of the email.
