[SHCC-Announcements] Important Update: SHCC Operations, Mandatory On-Site Work, and Hours (June 18th - September 10th)

Dear Staff,

This email outlines the operational guidelines for the Student Health and
Counseling Center (SHCC) during the summer months.

The SHCC operational period covered by these guidelines will run from *June
18, 2026 through September 10, 2026*

*Recurring Partial Clinic Closure for EPIC Implementation & Accreditation
Prep*
To ensure a successful EPIC implementation and focus on critical department
priorities for AAAHC Accreditation and professional development a
temporary, recurring partial closure of the clinic has been approved. This
closure coincides with a mandatory anchor day for all staff to dedicate
time to these initiatives.

   - *Purpose:* Mandatory EPIC work groups, process improvement
   initiatives, and essential staff training.
   - *Frequency:* Approximately every other Thursday.
   - *Time:* 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
   - *Dates:* Starting Thursday, June 18th, and running through Thursday,
   September 10th.


*Mandatory In-Person Work / Anchor Days*
With the above closure and work plan, there will be a *mandatory in-person
workday (anchor day) for all staff **.* Unless on an approved vacation or
time off, staff must report on-site on these Thursdays to ensure that
critical work can be completed. As communicated in a previous email, we
will also have mandatory in-person days for the Staff Retreat from
Wednesday, June 24th through Friday, June 26th. For staff currently on a
4/10 schedule, no changes are necessary. Staff who currently have Thursday
designated as a remote work day should work with their department
leadership and supervisor to change their remote day to another day in the
week.

*The mandatory in person dates are as follows: June 18, June 24, June 25,
June 26, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20, September 3, and September
10. *

*Summer Hours of Operation*
Student health hours will remain the same with extended hours to ensure
continuous student access. Our public-facing doors will remain open until *6:45
PM Monday through Thursday* and will close at *5 PM on Friday. *

We appreciate your commitment to our on-site operations during this period
of reduced campus activity.
