This position will be a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal to a second year. Duties and responsibilities include teaching introductory interdisciplinary studies courses, courses on the interactions between science, technology and society, and media studies courses as well as other courses as needed. The teaching load is 3-4 four-unit courses per quarter, with 45 units total across the academic year. An A.B.D. or Ph. D. in an interdisciplinary field and a successful teaching record are required.
