Did you see Frankenstein (2025)? Did you know that the Eaton Collection of
Science Fiction & Fantasy in the Tomás Rivera Library at UCR has a first
edition of Mary Woolstonecraft Shelley's *Frankenstein; or, the Modern
Promethus*, from 1818? Join English professor andré carrington and doctoral
students in English for this roundtable discussion about Guillermo del
Toro's 2025 *Frankenstein*. Panelists will discuss the meanings of
monsters, (re)animation, feminism and science fiction, and the histories of
Frankenstein in literature and culture. Refreshments will be served.
