Dear all,
Another month comes and goes! I hope you're all doing well.
We have just one acquisition (that I can talk about...) this month, along with our ongoing purchase of contemporary award-winning titles:
*
Henry Wessells, The Elfland Prepositions: A first edition of fantastical short stories, one of 100 numbered copies, signed by the author.
In other news, UCR Magazine has just published their amazing Winter 2025 special issue that showcases the Eaton Collection, and includes insightful interviews with our own Prof. carrington, alumna Jaymee Goh, archivist Andrew Lippert (whose Cyberpunk exhibit is installing next month in SCUA!) and others! Do check it out:
UCR Magazine: Winter 2025 | University of California, Riverside<https://www.ucr.edu/magazine/winter-2025>
The in-person Eaton Conference fast approaches, too, taking place April 4th-5th.
I'll be presenting, and meeting with potential donors, at the International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts next month in Orlando, and will of course report back.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope the new month starts brilliantly!
Warmth and light,
Phoenix
Recommended book of the month: Linda Stupart, Virus (2016)

We at UCR would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our responsibility to the original and current caretakers of this land, water, and air: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. Today this meeting place is home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the world, including UCR faculty, students, and staff, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on these homelands.
