The California Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI)
and the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) are hosting a series of
Catalyst Convenings across the state to help each region advance equitable
climate, energy, and land use priorities. Each Convening brings together
approximately 150 regional leaders and state agency representatives to
highlight regional case studies, share the work of the California Fifth
Climate Change Assessment, enable participants to engage directly with
state agencies, and to elevate land use, climate and energy priorities.
*We invite **local and **regional leaders serving Imperial, east San
Bernardino, east Riverside, east Los Angeles, east Inyo, and/or east Mono
to** register today for the Inland Deserts Catalyst Convening:*
- *Date*: Tuesday, October 6, 2026
- *Time*: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- *Location*: Palm Springs Leisure Center Pavilion (401 S Pavilion Way,
Palm Springs, CA)
*Registration will be reviewed and approved on a rolling basis.* This
convening is intended for decision-makers working to advance community and
climate solutions in the Inland Deserts region, including representatives
from:
- Tribes, Indigenous leaders, and Native-led organizations.
- Community-based organizations
- Local and regional government leaders, including directors and
managers working in the following departments: Climate/Sustainability,
Community Development, Economic Development, Housing, Parks and Recreation,
Planning, Public Health, Public Works, and Transportation.
- Economic development organizations
- Foundations and philanthropic organizations
- Higher education institutions
- Regional Climate Collaboratives
