Good afternoon community partners and allies,
I am reaching out to request your support this Thursday at 9am at the San
Bernardino County Planning Commission. The county's planning commission
will hold a public hearing on the Bloomington Business Park Specific Plan.
For those not familiar with the project, it is a 2.7 million sq ft
warehouse being proposed on residential land next to a park and 3 schools.

It was approved in 2022

groups we were able to halt the project until now

As the project comes back we remember the reasons why the community opposed
it from the beginning: displacement of over 100 homes

, air pollution, truck traffic, noise pollution, and overall degradation of
quality of life

It is not a coincidence that such an egregious project like this is being
placed in Bloomington. Bloomington is a low income, majority latino,
unincorporated community and according to the CalEnviroScreen at a 90th
percentile overall. This working class community faces many obstacles in
trying to get involved and engaged including language barriers and meeting
times which are early in the morning. Despite this the community continues
to show up and make their voice heard.

As we get to the end of this process we need our partners and allies to
come out strong and take a stand against injustice.
