Dear SEHE friends,
Please share the announcement below widely with students and colleagues.
Huge thanks to SEHE affiliate Cecilia Vasquez for organizing this event!

*And Water Brings Tomorrow Film Screening*

I’m reaching out to warmly invite you to a film screening and community
roundtable I’ve organized at the Culver Theater inside UCR Arts in Downtown
Riverside this *Saturday, April 26, from 3–6 PM.*

The featured film, *And Water Brings Tomorrow*, explores political grief
and change by highlighting community efforts to close prisons and
showcasing the aftermath of shuttered sites locally and across the U.S. You
can reserve tickets through the link included.

We’ll also be hosting a welcome reception with food from 2-3 PM—please feel
free to come early, enjoy some refreshments, and check out the current
exhibits at UCR Arts.

This event is co-sponsored by CIS, the Department of Anthropology, SEHE,
and the Department of Dance. Hope to see you there!
