Dear SEHE affiliates,
If you are an Academic Senate member, please consider attending the
Divisional meeting next *Tuesday, 5/21 1-3pm in Genomics Auditorium 1102A*.
*The major in Black Study will be up for a vote*. Please come support our
collaborators in that department!
SEHE will also be on the agenda, to finalize the course lists in each of
the two new majors. I don't expect much discussion on that account, but why
not come support Black Study and vote for SEHE while you're at it.
Thank you for your support of our new programs as we prepare to launch in
Fall. It's exciting to get so close. We had a lovely Open House today for
interested students, thanks to Ellen Reese's organizing efforts, where we
heard from EPA Specialist Laura Bloch about careers for humanists and
social scientists at the EPA, working with communities on environmental
justice issues. Our students will go far.
Dana
