[Sa-staff] Staff Assembly - June 2022 Get Recognized Nominations & Outstanding Staff Award Nominations

Good afternoon!

As May comes to a close, I would like to encourage you to nominate individuals and peers for the Get Recognized award! The Staff Assembly Recognition Committee will review submissions and select up to two winners each month. The winners will receive a prize, be featured on the Staff Assembly website/Facebook page, and receive campus recognition during a special awards ceremony.

I am excited to announce our May 2022 winners: Lisa Diaz - Statistics & Bart Kats – Infrastructure and Systems Ops! Congratulations to you both! 😃

If you would like to join in the celebration, the official recognition ceremony will be this upcoming Tuesday, May 31st via Zoom: https://ucr.zoom.us/j/95492830963 . Zoom room opens at 12:00pm and the ceremony begins at 12:05pm.

Also, we are accepting nominations for the Outstanding Staff Awards! The categories are:

  1.  Staff Who Make a Difference Award  - Four (4) staff members representing (one staff member for each) the following UCR employment groups:
     *   Service
     *   Administrative
     *   Technical
     *   Professional
  2.  People Helping People Award - One (1) staff member selected based on community service.
  3.  Tartan Soul Award - One (1) individual selected based on strengths in any/all of the four (4) Tartan Soul criteria areas (i.e. excellence, accountability, integrity, respect).
  4.  Diversity Award - One (1) staff member selected based on above & beyond the commitment to diversity in the UCR community.
  5.  Volunteer of the Year Award - One award given to a staff member with an outstanding volunteer service record. (Only applicable to Staff Assembly Volunteers).
