*National Institute of Health (NIH) **Notice Number NOT-OD-25-133:*

*New Policy Requirement to Train Senior/Key Personnel *

*on Other Support Disclosure Requirements*

*Effective October 1, 2025*, recipients must implement trainings, in
addition to maintaining a written and enforced policy, on requirements for
the disclosure of other support to ensure Senior/Key Personnel fully
understand their responsibility to disclose all resources made available to
the research in support of and/or related to all of their research
endeavors, regardless of whether or not they have monetary value and
regardless of whether they are based at the institution the researcher
identifies for the current grant.

*Senior/Key Personnel submitting Other Support documents on or after
October 1, 2025, as part of Just-in-Time (JIT) or RPPR/progress reports,
must comply with the training requirement prior to submission of the JIT or
RPPR/progress reports. *

Accordingly, to facilitate compliance with this new requirement, UC has a
comprehensive Research Security eLearning course in the UC Learning Center
that meets this NIH requirement for training on Disclosure requirements.
(NOTE: The course is also used to meet the research security training
requirements for DOE, DOD, and NSF.) This eLearning course is outlined
below and located in the UC Learning Center (LMS).
