Invitation to the NIFA HSI Stakeholder Listening Session October 19th at Noon PST

Dear Colleagues,

The Hispanic Serving Institutions Education Grants (HSI) program at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) would like to invite you to a conference call to meet with program staff to discuss NIFA/program updates and discuss how NIFA can best serve  you in the future. You are receiving this email due to your previous and/or current relationship with NIFA and the HSI program.

In addition to comments from program staff, we would like to hear from YOU! We are interested in hearing from you about any issue pertaining to HSIs but in particular the following:

*      Emerging food and agriculture topics that are important for your institution, students, and community

*      Current challenges being faced (including temporary/permanent changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic)

*      General issues affecting HSIs of which NIFA needs to be cognizant

*      Thoughts on evaluation of programs and dissemination of best practices amongst the HSI community

*      Other programs and opportunities that interest you

There is an opportunity to indicate in the registration if you would like to provide 2 minutes of verbal comments. We hope to accommodate all comments and questions and knowing the interest from the audience in advance will help us with planning. If you cannot attend and would like to send written comments to us, please email them to HSIGrants at usda.gov<mailto:HSIGrants at usda.gov>.
