Today is
Research Administrator Day !!!
In celebration of all UCR Research Administrators, Sponsored Programs Administration has now launched a new on-demand education training portal
containing video webinars and supporting resources which will walk the participant through the entire life cycle of an award.
This new training portal, located at https://research.ucr.edu/spa/training, is open to anyone with a UCR NetID.
Check it out!

Note: RA-INC will be going through this entire Life Cycle of the Award Series together beginning next month;
however, those wishing to view the series at their own pace, or those wishing to jump to a particular topic of interest,
are able to do so now at their convenience via the new SPA training portal.

For those who were unable to join Research Administrators INC earlier this month, but had wished to view the webinar entitled, “Subrecipient Monitoring – The Basics,” presented by the Society for Research Administrators (SRA) International…well, you are in luck. 😊 This webinar is now available ON-DEMAND.
WHERE: Accessible here<https://redit.ucr.edu/OR/OrMedia/SP/Video/Subrecipient_Monitoring-TheBasics.mp4> (and it is also archived on the Research Administrators INC webpage<https://redit.ucr.edu/OrApps/Org/OrgEvents/Default.aspx?g=inc> under Materials/Resources.)
WHAT: This webinar will review the requirements for subrecipient monitoring under OMB Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200. Additionally, it will review the following topics: subrecipient management and monitoring and the requirements of 2 CFR 200.330-332, review requirements for pass through entities (PTE), and subaward vs. contractor determination. Finally, it will review enforcement of 2 CFR 200.331(h) and close out.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
* Explore ways to minimize the burden of 2 CFR 200 requirements
* Recognize additional requirements for risk and assessment monitoring
* Understand documentation obligations for monitoring
