[RAISE at UCR] Southern California Applied Mathematics Symposium (SOCAMS) 2025

Please find below information about the Southern California Applied 
Mathematics Symposium that takes place at UCR on April 26, 2025.
The symposium has special AI sessions and is co-sponsored by RAISE at UCR.

Dear colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce that UCR will be holding the conference 
Southern California Applied Mathematics Symposium (SOCAMS) 2025 ( 
https://www.socams.org/ ) at UCR on April 26, 2025

This year we will be having AI special sessions in our conference, and 
we are pleased to extend our warmest invitation to you to participate 
from the RAISE community.
While the schedule is not (entirely) finalized, the AI special sessions 
are tentatively arranged:

a) from 1:15pm-2:40pm for two plenary speakers (Mihai Cucuringu, Maziar 
Raissi) at Student Success Center 229 (FYI, 
https://2025.socams.org/plenary-speakers)
b) from 3:50pm-5:00pm for six parallel contributed sessions in Student 
Success Center

Registration for all participants is required, but free thanks to 
generous support from SIAM, UCR CNAS Dean's Office, UCR RED and the 
RAISE at UCR AI Institute.
You are welcome to submit an abstract for a talk or poster presentation. 
The registration deadline for participants with a talk or poster is 
April 04, 2025, while those without presentations can register until 
April 11, 2025. Lunch will be provided and informal networking is 
encouraged to facilitate collaborations and connections.
