[Raise-faculty] Foundation Models for Scientific Discovery and Innovation

Dear RAISE faculty,
the national academies just published a report on Foundation Models for
Scientific
Discovery and Innovation with recommendations for DOE research. See
attached.

Moreover, DOE came out with an RFI on advancing AI for Science and
Workforce:

Both these relate to the AI for Science workshop we held at UCR in Oct.24;
you can see some of the same people from the Labs that are involved. We
will look for calls that should be coming up from the GENESIS program, but
thought to share these as preparation and teaming!
