RE:          CX - Lump Sum payout date March 29th 2012

Please be advised that the criteria for the lump sum payment includes all career employees in the CX unit as of the date of ratification (Dec. 9th 2011), as well as on the date the payout is processed.  The prior communication incorrectly included "non-probationary" status as an additional criteria for eligibility.

1)  CX Lump Sum payout date March 29th 2012
Programming has been prepared and released earlier than expected, and therefore the payout date for the CX lump sum will be moved up, from the previously anticipated May 1st to a payout date of March 29th 2012. Lump sum eligibility is as follows
*         Career employees in CX unit payroll as of the date of ratification (Dec. 9th 2011), as well as on the date the payout is processed.
*         Lump sum is based on CX unit earnings between July 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012.
*         Amount will be 3% of covered earnings during the period, less recoupment of UC Retirement catch up contributions, which is 1.5% of covered earnings during the period.
*         Employees who are on unpaid leave on the date of the payout will receive the lump sum payment upon their return to active employment at UCR. Departments are advised to contact HR when employees return from leave to request that this payment be issued.
