Re: UPTE RX-TX Local Equity Agreement

Below is a recap and update of our discussion in the PPS user's group meeting regarding the RX & TX wage implementation.

The Local Equity Agreement between UC and UPTE provides that UC Riverside shall increase the salary ranges and individual rates for all RX and TX bargaining unit employees by 0.5%. To be eligible for the increase, an employee must be on pay status (or approved leave) and in the bargaining unit on the date of the payout of the increase.

.5% Range Adjustment


*         March 3rd- Pay scales were updated in UCR Title & Pay Plan

*         April 1st - PPS updated with new rates effective 04/01/2011

*         April 7th - 14th - Departments audit new rates in PPS

*         April 29th - Employees receive their regular paycheck for the month of April, paid at the new rate

Lump Sum Payment

*         July 1st (tentative, date to be confirmed via separate communication) - The Local Equity Agreement provides a lump sum payment to each eligible RX or TX employee, based on the percentage increase described above, of the employee's bargaining unit earnings in the pay periods commencing with October 1st through March 31st.  More information on the processing date of this lump sum payout will be provided as it becomes available.
