Re: DOS Code 'BYA' approved for Additional/Overload Teaching Payments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Academic Personnel has received an update from Office of the President on the DOS code to be used for PPS distributions related to Additional/Overload Teaching. From January 1, 2010 until further notice, please use DOS Code BYA in PPS distributions related to Additional/Overload Teaching that occurs during the regular academic year. The BYA DOS Code Guidelines <http://academicpersonnel.ucr.edu/policies/BYA%20DOS%20Codes%20Academic%20Personnel%20Activities%20FINAL1-10.pdf> shown on the Academic Personnel web site have been updated to reflect this change. There is no need to RX/LX distributions that were done prior to January 1, 2010.

A reminder that PPS distributions related to Summer Sessions Teaching should continue to use the appropriate DOS code from the Summer Salary Guidelines <http://academicpersonnel.ucr.edu/salary/UCR%20Summer%20Salary%20Compensation%20Guidelines%202009%20with%20tables%20V3.pdf> that were put into effect last summer, not BYA.
