RE:     New Contact for Staff (Career)

As you may know, the Payroll Office has had an open position since the retirement of Terri Barrett on August 31, 2009.  The position was recently posted and the recruitment process has been completed.  Please let's congratulate Sonia Kalogonis for applying and accepting the position as a Payroll Accountant I.

This position is responsible for providing technical oversight and audit for approximately 2500 career staff employees.  The position will monitor transactions, processes and ensure appropriate internal controls are maintained.   Assist employees and departments interpret campus policy, federal laws and state regulations as it relates to Payroll and Human Resources.

 

Sonia has been in the Benefits area of the Payroll Department since February 2007.     Many of you have worked with her in that capacity.   She will start her new position on February 1, 2010.  Please welcome her to her new position.
