RE:  Minimum salary increase for Post Docs

A new minimum annual salary of $35,500 per year has been authorized by
Office of the President for individuals in the Postgraduate Researcher
and Postdoctoral Scholars series.  This increase is effective October 1,
2008.

PPS entries, including a retroactive payment for October, 2008, must be
made manually at the department level no later than the close of
business on Monday November 24th.  

 

It will not be possible for the increases to minimum salaries for
Postgraduate Researchers and Postdoctoral Scholars to be processed
centrally.  No central processing is possible because the Post Doc
adjustments are not across-the-board increases.  They apply only to
those

Individual's making less than $35,500.   

 

A formal notice will be sent out to faculty and administrators later
today.
