We have successfully completed the wage adjustments effective 10/1/2006 (see the complete list below). The Online Payroll Time Reporting (OPTR) roster is now available and the new rates will be paid on 11/1/2006.

If you have any questions, please contact Elena Mateos at x2-1958 regarding academic range adjustments and Roberta Nardico at x2-1943 for staff range and merit adjustments.

Thank you

October 20, 2006

Last night, our UCOP programmers updated PPS with the non-represented staff merit increases. Unfortunately, the Management and Senior Professional (MSP) staff merits rejected. MSP employees who were processed via web merit are not affected. The Professional and Support Staff (PSS) merits updated successfully.

Here's a complete list of the groups that will be updated tonight (10/20/06).

1.	MSP staff merits submitted on spreadsheets.
2.	Skilled Crafts (K5) merits.
3.	Academic range adjustments for off-scale employees.
4.	Academic range adjustments for employees who were added on EDB since 10/06/2006.

As you may know, the Online Payroll Time Reporting (OPTR) roster is now available. Please do not post any leave and overtime entries for any affected employee today. Wait until Saturday, 10/21/06 or Monday, 10/23/06 because OPTR roster will be refreshed with the new distribution numbers and rates tonight after these updates.

Please contact Roberta Nardico at x2-1943 if you have any questions.

Thanks

Gabe Nwandu

Re: Wage Adjustments (Range and Merit) effective 10/1/2006

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The range adjustments for staff members who are exclusively represented effective October 1, 2006 have been updated on the Payroll Personnel System (PPS). Please verify the new monthly rates, steps, distribution begin and end dates on PPS.

Here's the tentative schedule for other salary actions:

*	The academic range adjustments will be updated on PPS on October 10th or 11th.
*	The merits for non represented staff members will be updated on PPS on October 19th.
*	The merits for Police Officers and Sergeants will also be updated on PPS on October 19th.

Please start using the new rates for PPS distributions that begin 10/1/06 and later. You will find the new rates on the Title & Pay Plan: http://tpp.ucr.edu/tpp/tpp_main.mainpage

If you have any questions, please contact Roberta Nardico (Payroll Supervisor) at x2-1943 or send an e-mail to roberta.nardico at ucr.edu .
