Re:       Service (SX) Unit Across-the-Board Increases

The Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) database was updated on Thursday evening
(10/6/05) with the 3.0 percent across-the-board range adjustment increases
for the Service (SX) unit employees except for Custodian titles that
received 4.0 percent increases.  The selection criteria are: 

*	At least one active SX appointment with a begin date equal or prior
to October 1, 2005. 
*	Separation Date is not prior to 10/1/05. 
*	Appointment Representation Code is C (covered) 
*	Appointment Rate Code is not 'B' (By-Agreement) 
*	Appointment Without Salary Indicator is not 'Y'.  

Effective 10/1/05, the minimum ranges and individual rates of any Service
Unit classifications with rates less than $9 per hour has been increased to
the minimum $9 per hour or $1566/month.  Employees making less than $9 per
hour prior to 10/1/05 were brought up to the minimum $9 per hour.  The 3
percent across-the-board increase was then applied to their individual rates
which increased their rates to $9.27 per hour.

 

The new rates will be reflected on the time rosters (screen IDTC) for
October earnings paid November 1, 2005.   Please start using the new rates
for new hires and rehires effective immediately. The new rates are available
on the Title & Pay Plan at: http://oas.ucr.edu/tpp/owa/tpp_main.mainPage.
