[pps-news] PPS Appointments that qualify for NRT/PFR/GSHIP

The deadline to enter appointments for TAs, GSRs, Assoc Ins, Readers and
Tutors who qualify for Tuition Remissions (GSHIP/PFR/NRT) has been extended
to October 20, 2005.   This extension was necessary because you were
instructed on another e-mail not to update PPS from October 6-14th.
Academic Personnel has eliminated the database update freeze from October
6-14th.  Another e-mail announcing this change will follow shortly.

Dear Payroll Assistants,

 

Over the past year, NRT, Partial Fee Remission and GSHIP charges have not
properly posted to department accounts due to late PPS entries.  To ensure
this does not continue, appointments that qualify for NRT/PFR/GSHIP (TAs,
GSRs, Assoc INs, Readers and Tutors) must be entered into PPS no later than
October 15, 2005 in order for these amounts to properly charge to the
correct FAU and show up on the Distribution of Payroll Expense Report
(DOPE).  Again, this is only for appointments that qualify for the fee
remission credits.
