Dear Professor Juliann Allison,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Gabriel Boldizsar. I am
writing on behalf of the Soka Institute for Global Solution to share an
academic opportunity for your students to engage in a 5-day nuclear
disarmament education workshop.

The Soka Institute for Global Solutions at Soka University of America will
host Nuclear Politics 2026, a summer program dedicated to nuclear
disarmament and nonproliferation discussions. The program will take place
on June 8–12, 2026, on our campus in Aliso Viejo, CA, and is open to
undergraduate and graduate students from all academic backgrounds. There
are no registration fees, and the selected participants will receive full
accommodation and meals during the program.

Situating itself in the context of today’s increasingly precarious global
security environments, this program seeks to engage students in critical
discussions on nuclear weapons issues, international security, legal and
normative debates on deterrence, and pragmatic pathways toward reducing the
risks of nuclear war. Through lectures, collaborative dialogue, and
interdisciplinary engagement, participants will explore nuclear disarmament
and abolition agendas.

We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with students who
may have interests in:

• International relations and security studies

• Nuclear policy and nonproliferation

• Peace and conflict studies

• International law and diplomacy

• Global governance and humanitarian policy

Applications are currently open, and the deadline to apply is April 10.

More information about the program and application process can be found
here: soka.sigs.edu

Please feel free to contact the organizers at sigs at soka.edu if you or your
students have any questions.
