[Poscgrad] POSC Co-Sponsored Event: May Day! New Books on the U.S. Deportation Regime (May 1, 2026)

Dear all,

The Department of Political Science will be co-sponsoring a symposium
titled “*May Day! New Books on the U.S. Deportation Regime: A Symposium on
Migration, Law, and Justice.*” Please find the flyer attached for more
details.

Date: May 1
Time: 1:00–4:00 PM
Location: INTS 1113

Light refreshments will be served.

The symposium brings together authors, UCR faculty, attorneys, and local
Inland Empire activists to discuss recent work on migration, law, and
immigrant justice, including *Leave If You Can* (Amelia Frank-Vitale)
and *Legal
Phantoms* (Jennifer Chacón, Susan Coutin, and Stephen Lee).

This should be a very engaging event, so please consider attending.
