Happy New Year Graduate Students,



I hope that you are enjoying some much-deserved down time!


Please read below for some important reminders!



Enrollment: All students are required to be enrolled in full-time status, in at least 12 units. This applies to ALL students regardless of your year or status - but excludes students who have filed for a Leave of Absence. Please take a moment to check the number of units that you are enrolled in for the Winter '25 qtr. and make additions as necessary.



If you are NOT enrolled in 12 units, then your applicable TA salary, refund and/or tuition and fee remissions will be delayed!



If you need additional units and you are unable to self-enroll due to an instructor consent block or cannot increase your course units, please submit a POSC Graduate Enrollment Form, see link here<https://forms.gle/MJyMpoZikzHNHwPn9> (link also listed below my email signature). Enrollment requests will not be accepted via email. Using the POSC Enrolment form allows me to collect the necessary information that I need to process your request.



Winter '25 Financial Aid will begin disbursing to student accounts on Monday, 1/6/2025; for students enrolled in at least 12 units. All stipends are first applied to any pending and/or outstanding charges at the time of disbursement, the remaining balance will be disbursed to you.



For students enrolled in Direct Deposit, once you see the aid disbursement on your UCR student account, you can expect the deposit to be routed to your bank in 3-5 business days. Refund checks can be expected within 7-10 business days. Refund checks are only generated and mailed out on Tuesdays. Checks will be mailed to your address on file, be sure that your address is up to date in your student account to avoid a delay in your refund.



If you have not already done so, I highly encourage you to sign up for Direct Deposit. This is the fastest way for you to receive your financial aid. You can apply for Direct Deposit through your R'Web student account.



Lastly, I will be back on campus Tuesday, Jan 7th. My new office location is next to the staircase in room# 2128. I will be in the office (on campus) on Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday, please stop by my new office to say Hi!

The UCR Campus will be closed during Fall 2024 on the following days:
Monday, December 23-Wednesday, January 1 (Winter Break)
