I hope you guys are all doing well. Reaching out to you all to share a GSR
opportunity.
My supervisor *Connie Tan* wants to bring 1 new *GSR* member to our AAPI
Data team. So I wanted to share this you all should you have any specific
students (phd/graduates) that might be a good fit. It's *quantitative*
*heavy* - specifically looking for those who feel comfortable using

Qualifications/requirements:
Minimum requirements:
Academic and/or work experience and interest in the field of social
science, computer science, data science, or related fields
Experience with computer programming languages, particular R and Python
Demonstrated understanding of data infrastructure, web programming, and
updating web applications
Experience with R Shiny Server framework
Experience in gathering and analyzing data using open-source tools
Extensive experience with quantitative data analysis
Skilled with data visualization
Satisfactory academic progress
Preferred qualifications:
Interest and understanding of Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific
Islander communities
Experience working with Census data
Experience with Amazon Web Server
Interest in leveraging data and research for broader social impact
Enthusiasm for collaborative/team-based research, as characterized by
shared thought partnership and data interpretation
